Journalism and drinking and more specifically writers seem to have an affinity for drinking to help them with their careers, this is a controversial theory and quite possible signs of denial and an excuse for alcoholism. This editorial includes 10 famous writers that have all become heavily immersed in the drinking and writing culture. All of these men have slightly offside comments and opinions on how to drink, it seems that they may all be slightly unstable but they do say there is a thin line between genius and insanity.
Some of the best quotes are a mix of humor and madness, F. Scott Fitzgerald said "Too much of anything is bad, but too much Champagne is just right."
Charles Baudelaire said "One should always be drunk. That’s all that matters… But with what? With wine, with poetry, or with virtue, as you choose. But get drunk."
