Jomo Tariku Unveils New Seating Designs at the Wexler Gallery

Ethiopian American artist and industrial designer Jomo Tariku unveils four chair and stool designs made in collaboration with Wexler Gallery. It was all showcased during Design Miami this year -- all four of the designs launched with a limited edition production of 18 and are exclusively available through Wexler Gallery.

The capsule kicks off with the Nyala chair, which is inspired by the mountain antelopes in Eastern Africa's Bale Mountains. It has armrests and legs that are inspired by the animal's hind legs and horns. It is painted with white details along the black ash base foundation to add some tonal contrast. It is applied to reference the look of the Nyala's nose and eyes.
