Jenny Hardcore Stays True to Her Name

Photographer Jenny Hardcore, who is a pretty big deal in the underground rock ’n' roll scene, has released her latest series of works, which are set in an abandoned asylum outside of London, England. Her older works have explored themes such as self-mutilation, horror films and decay.

“I have always held a visual fascination with places that unsettle the viewer,” says Jenny Hardcore when asked why she wanted to shoot an asylum for her latest photographs. Check out the gallery to view Hardcore’s strange, eerie, but beautiful images.
