Shameless Maya, the alias of Toronto-born, New York-based Maya Washington puts her own spin on a soon-to-be live action '80s-inspired movie with her #JemtheMovie Dance Off video. Taking on the character of one of the Holograms, Shana Elmsford, she transforms into a music diva with the help of a curly lilac wig and some funky vintage outfits.
In the #JemtheMovie Dance Off video, Shana is seen battling with a dancing thief to get her purse back. She pulls out the some magical bursts of sparkles and a couple of powerful drum sticks to finish him off before heading off to enjoy the rest of her day--hopefully free of drama. The video was directed by Shannon T. Boodram, choreographed by Liinda Garisto and written by Maya herself.
