Japan Rail's Newest Train Caters to Travelers with Elegant Tastes

Japan Railways has revealed their design for a new Shinkansen bullet train that is unlike any mobile travel experience before it. The luxurious train concept is reminiscent of a five star hotel with accommodations that are fit for a king.
In addition to on-board foot baths, the overnight train that services Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima, features an elegant atrium space, a gourmet dining car and passenger suites that are large enough to live in.
Japan Rail's mobile hotel concept comes to us from famed train and auto designer Kiyoyuki Okuyama who describes the project as “a train where passengers can enjoy the flow of time and space.”
In addition to traditional suites, the 10-car train features guest rooms and split-level suites that are equipped with private bathrooms and eat-in living areas.
