In the hotel industry, staying up-to-date is crucial to business; the James Chicago Hotel recently underwent an extensive renovation, which they have termed a ‘refresh,’ in order to stay one step ahead of the game. Inspired by residential spaces, the 297 rooms include new, custom-designed furniture, high-tech amenities and environmentally thoughtful products that work together to create a homey environment.
Self-described as ‘warm modernism’ and ‘luxury liberated,’ the James Chicago Hotel introduces a unique take on the current minimalist craze. Using a natural palette of browns and creams that are accented by wooden fixtures, the rooms are organically welcoming. The cream of the crop has to be the 26 one-bedroom apartment suites, each of which boast a living room, separate bedroom, dining niche and a media room complete with a movie projector.
