Jack & Jack are many things, including a pop rap duo, prolific YouTubers, Vine success story and all-around teenage social media dons with a large following. The duo, comprising 18-year-olds Jack Johnson and Jack Gilinsky, have more recently been tapped by marketers looking to target teenagers. This Pizza Hut ad is a great example of that.
As YouTubers become increasingly influential and capture the attention of different demographics, a growing number of marketers are looking to leverage them to get through to their audiences.
This particular video is dubbed 'In The Pizza Hut Test Kitchen' and features Jack & Jack in a Pizza Hut Kitchen tasting different pizzas, before working together to craft their own pizzas. The pizzas dreamed up by the two teenage heartthrobs are actually available for order on Pizza Hut's website.
All in all this makes for an extremely unconventional and effective campaign from Pizza Hut, which effectively leveraged the popularity of a couple of teenage YouTubers.
