The iPet Companion is an innovative device that ensures pets get their daily dose of exercise and interactive play even if their owners are away from home.
The iPet Companion’s robotic apparatus has been tested and installed at the Oregon Humane Society to increase the number of cat adoptions. Surprisingly, the cat adoption has increased to 16 percent, according to the organization. The device is connected to a web server and fitted with cat toys that can be controlled via computer. A high-resolution camera shows the live activities of the pet. Currently, the iPet Companion is being installed at the Oregon Humane Society’s playroom, allowing pet lovers to visit the center virtually to watch the kitties play.
