Click on your country, and this interactive International Organization for Migration (IOM) map will show you how many migrants from every other country live there. Then click on any other country, and the map will tell you how many migrants from your own country live there. On the International Organization for Migration's site, visitors with an abundance of anthropological curiosity and a surplus of time can spend as much time as they'd like repeating this experiment with every country in the world.
In light of the recent refugee crisis, the interactive animated map aims to reveal how much migration takes place in the world, and how important it is for national and international governments to have sound policies in place to facilitate these ebbs and flows of human movement.
The International Organization for Migration is an inter-governmental advocate for migrants' rights that comprises 146 member states.
