OpenAI is bringing GPT-6 Luna into ChatGPT's regular Chat tab for Free and Go users, giving them the lower-cost model that had been limited to the desktop app. The same rollout adds Intelligent UI, a presentation layer that mixes text with visuals and interactive elements inside a reply.
That can turn a routine prompt into something easier to scan, especially when ChatGPT uses diagrams or an on-the-spot calculator instead of a plain block of text. The system still falls back to standard text when that works better, so the experience stays flexible rather than forcing every answer into a visual format.
The rollout starts on October 8 and is described as global, while paid plans get GPT-6 Sol instead. OpenAI also says the web version is the safer bet for older Windows and macOS desktop apps, which do not support Intelligent UI. On phones, the latest app version is required.
