INEOS is Beginning Production of its 'Grenadier' Consumer SUV

INEOS, the United Kingdom-based chemicals and gas company, announced that it is beginning production on the 'Ineos Grenadier,' the company's inaugural consumer SUV. The vehicle is being produced at the Smart Plant in Hambach, France, which was previously used to produce Mercedes-Benz vehicles. According to INEOS, this production plant is more than well-suited for their use case, requiring very few modifications to become a full-scale production facility.

While INEOS began preorders for the Grenadier earlier this year, the first batch of orders will begin to ship later this year in December. However, the preorders will not be cleared until the first few months of 2023. The INEOS Grenadier is a rugged SUV with a Jeep-like design built for off-road and more extreme conditions. The vehicle will be useful to outdoor industries, such as agricultural and forestry, but it will also be available for the general consumer.
