Alexander May Opens the Physical Location of Sized Studio
The industrial studio space aesthetic has been popular for quite some time as architects and designers aim to fuse modern minimalism with brutalist elements. Most recently, Alexander May—who is the founder of the creative advisory Sized—opened up an industrial studio space in Hollywood. Sized Studio measures just over 5,000 square feet and the interior is designed with flexibility in mind. The ceiling fluctuates between 10 and 30 feet in height. Alexander May hopes that the physical location of Sized Studi will be used for various purposes—from hosting events, exhibitions, and public-facing programming to welcoming photoshoots, commercial projects, dinners, performances, and other "experimental marketing" initiatives. The venue is essentially considered "a blank canvas." Sized Studio's space is fully bookable, with a number of different rooms available, and it even includes lounge seating in a loading bay area.
