Sparklers are like miniature Independence Day fireworks, which are an essential part of any 4th of July celebration. These gorgeous homemade sparklers are sure to make a flashy statement.
These handheld Independence Day fireworks are made using bamboo skewers. Start by mixing 25 milliliters of ethanol and 75 milliliters of water into a measuring cup. Separately mix strontium nitrate, steel powder, aluminum, charcoal, and boric acid in a bowl and remove any clumps by sifting the ingredients. Stir together the dry and wet material. Then combine 25 milliliters of this paste with dextrin. Keep stirring it and add 65 millimeters more of the wet paste.
The next step is to coat the bamboo sticks in this newly made material and leave them to dry for about 24 hours. These beautiful sparklers are the perfect way to end your 4th of July celebrations!
