A great number of leg amputees would probably not be satisfied with the availability of only wheelchair-based sports in which they can participate. The Adidas Impetus Soccer Prosthesis is a cutting-edge development that would certainly enable athletic disabled people to get back into the game.
Aurélien Dantin began with the initial model of the running blade as the base for this design, indicating that this one would be made from 3D-printed titanium. The front of the foot would then be defined by a separate component of the same metal material, making up the hard shell of the Adidas Impetus Soccer Prosthesis. The prosthetic leg would then be enhanced with screw-on cleats, as well as customizable foot kicks and shin guards that could display the colors or logos of a specific football team.
