One can term Ben Denzer's work as ice cream photography, others can argue it is about books. The fact of the matter is that the New York-based photographer has taken it upon himself to create a domineering relationship between aesthetically friendly books and melting iced desserts.
The artistic project began as an experimental Instagram account. As the currents of social media are fairly unpredictable, Ben Denzer's popularity quickly rose up to 22,800 followers. The project could not simply be termed as ice cream photography, however. One of the creative's main fascination is the essence of the book — a thing that is both object and content.
Thus, in his experimental images, Denzer relies on chromatic backgrounds and absurdist positioning. In a form that combines the styles of the avant-garde and pop art, the creative is able to successfully establish a striking visual relationship.
