There is something quite discombobulating about the Hypnosis by Julius Bramanto photo series that has to do with its dreamlike state and dystopian aesthetic. It is as though these two models have woken up in an unfamiliar setting and are trying to figure out where they are. The disorienting lighting and fun house setting do not help, that's for sure.

Yet the Jakarta-based fashion photographer was able to channel this confusion into something incredibly captivating. The mysterious air in the Hypnosis by Julius Bramanto photo series really makes the viewer fill in the blanks by creating a little narrative around these futuristic scenes to make better sense of everything. This encourages a deeper interaction between the two.

The Hypnosis by Julius Bramanto series was shot for the Architecture Texture 2011 collection by Asky Febrianti.
