Humongous Hydrofoil Luxury Yachts

The 'Open' Yacht Offers Futuristic Water-Cruising Capabilities

Tyde, a maker of sustainably stylish luxury yachts that is based in Germany, has unveiled the second byproduct of its collaboration with BMW Designworks in the form of the 'Open,' the biggest hydrofoil luxury yacht ever created for private use.

Following on the heels of the 'Icon' luxury yacht that was unveiled earlier in 2023, the new 'Open' yacht is set to have a hull that measures in at 14.7 meters long and occupies a height of 3.5 meters above the surface of the water. Much like its predecessor, the 'Open' luxury yacht is designed to be able to utilize active hydrofoil technology, enabling it to attain a top speed of around 55 km/h without producing polluting fumes.

Christoph Ballin, managing director of Tyde, noted that this luxury yacht "brings future-orientated mobility to the day yacht segment."
