HVAC Distribution Expansion

SRS Acquires Lohmiller to Grow Its HVAC Platform

HVAC distribution expansion is reshaping the building supply sector as SRS Distribution moves to acquire Lohmiller & Company, a Colorado-based supplier of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, parts and supplies.Lohmiller operates four locations, employs 220 people and distributes Carrier products across residential and commercial markets. The acquisition follows SRS's purchase of Mingledorff's and represents another step in building a broader HVAC distribution platform. Lohmiller's existing leadership will remain in place, helping preserve established customer and supplier relationships.

From a business perspective, the deal allows SRS to enter new regional markets while adding specialized HVAC expertise to its extensive building products network. Alignment between Lohmiller, Mingledorff's and Carrier could also create opportunities for stronger purchasing, distribution and customer support capabilities. For SRS and parent company Home Depot, continued HVAC acquisitions can diversify operations and establish a larger presence within the professional building services market.
