Dominique Ansel Bakery is known for its inventive desserts, so instead of serving up chocolate bunnies this Easter, the gourmet bakery has debuted a whimsical chocolate creation dubbed the 'Huevocado.' Combining two millennial obsessions in one, the new dessert is sure to be an Instagram-worthy Easter treat.
The Huevocado is a hybrid dessert that is part avocado, and part chocolate Easter egg. However, the avocado inspiration is purely aesthetic, as the treat contains none of the actual fruit inside. Instead, the bright green shell of the dessert is made from chocolate and the inside is filled with a miniature white-chocolate truffle egg.
Though pricey than standard Easter fare, the Huevocado demonstrates how brands are going out of their way to elevate and refine festive treats.
