Jia Min Nancy Hou and Josh de Sousa are an architectural design duo who work under the name Hou de Sousa. Recently, Hou de Sousa completed the interior of this dim sum bar in Quito, Equador.
This new space is elegant, simple and combines elements that are both classic and contemporary. Featuring a rich chocolate palette, the interior offers a warm and inviting atmosphere while still being hip and modern. The accents are simple, comprising a huge in-wall display of wine bottles and dividers with elegant perforations. According to the designers, the owner of the dim sum bar had already picked out the chairs, which are made of dark wood with white leather cushions. Because they have such a distinctive appearance, Hou de Sousa had to create the interior design around them.
