Ennismore Opens a Hotel in Barcelona, Informed by Ricardo Bofill

A new hotel in Barcelona is drawing the attention of design-minded individuals. Called The Hoxton Poblenou, the establishment is a new venture by London-based hospitality group Ennismore. What is striking about the interior of the hotel is that it effortlessly combines opulence with subtle minimalism. The color palette contributes to a comforting warmth, as well.

With a total of 240 rooms and a luxurious interior setting, The Hoxton Poblenou also offers access to a rooftop pool, a bar, a pizza restaurant, and a bodega. There are also three meeting and events spaces. The interior of the hotel is informed by the color choices and architectural style of Ricardo Bofill who was a well-celebrated Spanish architect. Pushing the boundaries of the industry, Bofill created many aesthetically striking projects such as the La Muralla Roja (1973) in Spain and the Les Espaces d'Abraxas (1982) in France.
