Earthy Tonal Coastal Hotels

The Mylos Hotel Brings Corsican Design with Sustainable Charm

The Mylos Hotel brings Corsican design with sustainable charm to the hillside village of Cargèse. A collaboration between Orma Architettura and Dorothée Meilichzon, the 35-room retreat embeds its terraced concrete-and-stone buildings within the landscape, using excavated site material for rough-textured construction. Living green roofs, tree-lined walkways, and native flora—including olive, myrtle, and holm oak. It reinforces the building’s harmony with its Mediterranean surroundings.

Meilichzon’s interiors evoke local narrative through organic textures and mythic references: rock-emergent wall finishes, amphora-handled tables, friezes hinting at waves, and headboards inspired by shepherds’ berets. Every window aligns with sea views, while soft curves and earthy tones root the design in Corsican tradition. Mylos Hotel exemplifies thoughtful, context-driven hospitality, where architecture, craft, and nature converge in a modern yet timeless hospitality experience
