Sweat-Soaking Sensors

This High-Tech Sensor Analyzes Patients' Sweat

A group of high-powered researchers, engineers and scientists working out of the Eindhoven University of Technology over in the Netherlands have managed to design an exceptionally high-tech sensor that is more than capable of taking patients' sweat and analyzing it in an exceptionally medically useful manner.

The truth of the matter is that while sweat may seem gross, it is a substance that can reveal a lot about a person's health. For example, acidity levels in the sweat can provide information about skin conditions, while saline concentration can give doctors key information about cystic fibrosis .This particular high-tech sensor is designed to soak up the sweat, put it through a micro-channel and then excrete it out.

Ultimately, this high-tech sensor would have a whole range of applications in the medical field and beyond.
