In Japan, consumers will soon be able to purchase a pairs of high-tech sneakers created by Onitsuka Tiger and Anrealage. Two kinds of Monte Z shoes have been created with a design that comes to life with augmented reality. When the shoes are viewed through the lens of the Anrealage AR3 app, smartphone users are able to see a striped logo appear before their eyes, alongside a "special AR sound."
To promote the release of the Monte Z augmented reality sneakers, Anrealage and Onitsuka Tiger collaborated with actor and dancer Mirai Moriyama to create a dynamic, artful video showing off the unique features of the footwear.
There are now a number of t-shirts, hats and jackets that boast secret AR features, which add a new dimension to ordinary interactions with clothing and accessories.
