Pop-Up Roller Rinks

UNIQLO's High Line Rink Brings Back a Retro Summer Sport

It's all "been there, done that" when it comes to pop-up shops, but the High Line Rink hopes to change that uninterested sentiment. Sponsored by UNIQLO, this temporary structure does feature fashion shops around it, but the main draw is the public, outdoor rollerskating rink. Forget about the culture of consumerism for a moment or two and instead strap on some skates in order to enjoy a retro pastime.

Designed by Designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro and James Corner Field Operations in partnership with HWKN, the High Line Rink is located within The Lot -- a temporary public plaza below the High Line in New York City. With regularly scheduled theme nights and other fun activities, the High Line Rink will be open until the end of September.
