Clean the Sky - Positive Eco Trends & Breakthroughs

Herzog & de Meuron's National Stadium

— July 30, 2008 — Art & Design
Herzog & de Meuron are the architects behind the stunning new National Stadium in Beijing, China.

As a follow up to previous articles about the so-called "Bird's Nest," we bring you new images from photographer Iwan Baan.

The stadium is a beautiful piece of architecture, with the outer structure resembling a large ball of string. This humongous stadium will host the track and field events for the Olympic games in Beijing this August.

One thing I am pondering though is the blue sky in the images - photoshopped or a miraculous day in Beijing?
