Harrods Estates, a subsidiary of the luxury department store brand, recently teamed up with property development company Manhattan Loft Gardens to create a virtual reality pop-up shop in London. The immersive real estate pop-up shop was staged on the city's iconic Brompton Road and sought to preview luxurious properties for purchase and available for rent across London.
The software created by Manhattan Loft Gardens was designed for the Oculus Rift system and provides a comprehensive tour of each property for consumers to explore. The Harrods Estates real estate pop-up aimed to showcase the properties to approximately 75,000 visitors a day over the period of a week.
This innovative use of virtual reality technology to sell real estate will benefit consumers lacking the time to visit such properties in person.
