Halal Food Fest Recognizes Top Vendors in Toronto

Toronto is known as one of the most multicultural cities in the world with a vibrant food scene that celebrates diverse and international flavors—now Halal food is getting its time in the spotlight with a dedicated Halal Food Fest this spring. The event is celebrated as the largest Halal food festival in all of North America, with more than 27,000 people in attendance at last year's event. The two-day 2015 event will be full of opportunities to sample a variety of food and drink permissible by Muslim law, including Holy Poutine, Belgian Waffle S'mores, jerk chicken, ribs and burgers.

Other features of the event include live music performances, speakers and stations to learn about preparing other specialty treats for gluten-free baking or making mocktails.
