G&Tea is a new sparkling hard tea brand combining London Dry gin with South African rooibos tea and honey. Launched by Chicago-based entrepreneur Alex Young, the ready-to-drink range arrives in Original and Passion Fruit varieties, both containing 7% ABV and packaged in 12oz cans. The Original blends gin, rooibos and clover honey, while the Passion Fruit version adds tropical fruit flavour to the same base. Both varieties are caffeine-free and made without refined sugar or artificial sweeteners.
Rooibos sourced from South Africa’s Cederberg region provides an earthy base without the tannin bitterness associated with traditional tea, while London Dry gin contributes botanical and citrus notes and honey adds sweetness. Young’s connection to rooibos dates to his childhood near the Cederberg region, before he later moved his life to London and Chicago.
