AutoX Drives a "Mobile Shelf" to Customers on the Spot

Just last year, AutoX got permission to test its self-driving cars in the state of California and as of now, it has launched a pilot program in the San Jose area involving grocery delivery cars. To make the most of this service, people within the range of the pilot program can download the start-up's AutoX app and have their groceries delivered autonomously via a temperature-controlled Lincoln MKZ outfitted with high-definition cameras.

While there are now a few forward-thinking self-driving grocery services that aim to provide seamless deliveries to one's home, AutoX also offers a unique option that allows customers to have a "mobile shelf" of items sent to them on the spot, which effectively brings the store to the consumer, rather than requiring them to be at home, or venture out to a retail setting.
