'Ola Store' is a new mobile application that allows customers in India to order groceries on-demand and have them shipped directly to their door. The new service is a feature of an existing app called 'Ola,' which functions as a rideshare platform.
The Ola Store application allows users to choose from over 12,000 products from 13 different grocery categories. These categories range from basics such as fresh fruits and vegetables to more specialized items such as frozen foods and baby products. Once customers have selected their products, they can choose a delivery time between 9 am and 10 pm. The grocery delivery service is available on-demand or within the hour.
Uber has launched similar delivery services in North America, such as 'Corner Store' and 'Uber Essentials.' However, the Ola Store seems to offer Indian consumers a unique opportunity to order their groceries on-demand.
