Google Maps' new feature is helping travelers get from point A to point B with more efficiency and less stress than ever before.
If you leave at the wrong time of day, what's regularly a 30-minute trip can take you three times as long. Google Maps is aiming to help consumers avoid those unnecessarily long road trips with a new feature that's currently available to Android users.
The new app-enabled 'departure time' feature will relay valuable information to users regarding the the most ideal times to begin a road trip. Explained through bar charts, users will have access to a visual representation of a successful algorithm that estimates how long a trip will take, based on the time of day one plans to leave. Users can now plan their trip around the suggestions the app makes, resulting in less time wasted on the road.
