Smart AI Calling Services

Google Duplex Will Launch in New Zealand Starting with a Pilot Test

Google Duplex is an AI service that is able to place phone calls, make reservations, buy movie tickets, and it will soon have the ability to rent a car. Initially, Google Duplex was released in the United States, however, it will now begin to be released internationally. The global release is starting in New Zealand, and it will begin with a pilot test.

The release was announced by a Google New Zealand blog post that outlined the test program. The test program will utilize the Duplex AI to make calls to businesses asking about holiday hours. The information will subsequently be used to update Google's other services like Maps and its search engine. Business are able to opt-out of the program and Google Duplex will indicate that it is an AI call.
