The world of juicing has taken on a life of its own and to prove that is this gorgeous glass juicer. Instead of using something industrial or kitschy, one designer decided to turn the healthy task into a form of art. Elinor Portnoy has made one out of hand-blown glass, sculpting the design into a mountainous peak that looks as though it would belong in a candy land. That's because the glass juicer is brightly colored.
The glass juicer is available in various shapes and hues. The designer writes, "I’ve decided to make a tool for the kitchen that will attempt to question the way we perceive function and form. These citrus squeezers are made of glass with multiple colours, revealed by coldworking to “peel off” the layers, much like the fruit it squeezes."
