'Jindea' is the name of a new gin spirit that is made with single-estate Darjeeling tea from India, as well as a mix of zesty and spicy botanicals like juniper, lemon, grapefruit, coriander, ginger, fennel, cardamom and cinnamon.
As Darjeeling is often referred to as "the champagne of teas," this upscale gin offers a fresh take on tea-infused spirits. When it came to selecting the right kind of tea to use in this spirit, the creators of Jindea even took care to consult a master tea sommelier.
Bartender and cocktail specialist Matt Dakers developed Jindea with Adrian Gomes and Jack Rackham and is introducing the new gin spirit with a number of inventive cocktail recipes. While the 'Make Mine a Beer' pairs Jindea gin with fresh lemon juice and an Indian pale ale, the exotic Chai Pani is best prepared with mango chutney, orange bitters and Campari.
