Popular GIF-finding platform 'Giphy' recently launched an app for Android devices. While Android users could already use Giphy via Facebook messenger, now they will be able to access a standalone app that will make it easier to search for and insert GIFS into messages.
With the new update in place, Giphy for Messenger will gradually be replaced by a standalone Giphy app. The new app will allows users to browse, search for and use GIFs on a number of different platforms, including Messenger. This means that users can now use GIFs on messaging platforms that are not already integrated with Gify.
As GIFs become an increasingly popular way for consumers to communicate digitally, there is a growing demand for applications that make it easier to search for GIFs and convert those images into messages.
