Under Armour's Gemini 2 is the First of Its Kind and Previewed at CES 2016

Under Armour aims to revolutionize the running world with the 'Gemini 2,' the first censor-equipped sneaker that records your workouts, without needing to be tethered to a phone. The shoe's appearance makes it indistinguishable from other sneakers, yet is capable of tracking where a runner is going, distance traveled and calories burned.
The innovative concept will bode well for runners and marathoners who wish to work out without having to carry a smartphone or wearable, allowing complete focus on the exercise. The Gemini 2s can record up to five workouts before having to upload the data to the accompanying MapMyRun app. In the future, Under Armour hopes to apply the same tracking capabilities to other shoes sold by the brand.
