Gavin Hargest, who illustrates under the pseudonym Gavade, is a UK-based artist who really knows how to create a chilling atmosphere in his work. Using as little color as possible, Hargest instead floods his images with detailed renderings of scars and stitches that make it really hard for viewers not to wince. Hargest colors these images digitally and adds textures that look like shattered glass and polygonal veins to further enhance the morbid effect of each illustration.
