Briton Gary Rothwell has set a new record for riding a motorcycle wheelie at high speeds. Rothwell used his 540-horsepower turbocharged Hayabusa to a scarcely believable 337 kph on his back wheel only for over one kilometer. The record was set at the Straightliners Top Speed event in the UK.
This new record is an improvement on Rothwell's previous best by over 16 km/h, and sets a massive bar for wheelie enthusiasts to match.
What's incredible about Gary Rothwell's feat is the speed at which he managed to maintain his wheelie, as these kinds of speed cause the wind to smash against you, causing you to fall off. However, Rothwell managed to come through his feat unscathed, setting a whole new bar for motorcycle wheelie stunts.
