Samsung's 'Galaxy Folder 2' is a Brand New Flip Phone Design

The Samsung 'Galaxy Folder 2' is reviving a technological design that most thought had died off over a decade ago. The new phone, currently slated for release in South Korea, China, and potentially the United States, is a modern take on the flip phone design that graced virtually every device in the early stages of mobile tech.

As its name suggests, the Galaxy Folder 2 isn't Samsung's first attempt at (re)inventing a flip phone. The 'Galaxy Folder' was released in July of 2015, however it was only released in South Korea, which is why many Europeans and North Americans may not be familiar with it. Samsung has certified the Galaxy Folder 2 with the FCC, though, meaning that the phone will very likely see a North American market this time around.
