Hannah Jewett challenges traditional jewelry design with futuristic jewelry styles that embrace bold, inorganic shapes and collections that are presented in futuristic digital scenes. The jewelry pieces themselves have a fluidity to them and although there are earrings in the form of hoops and dangling styles that may seem familiar, they take on a unique twist from the jewelry designer's unique perspective. As Jewett told Design Milk, "The work is definitely a bit rebellious. My design perspective has always been driven by the desire to challenge what adornment traditionally looks like.”
On the designer's website, there are a collection of images that were created in collaboration with artist Carol Civre. These bring imaginative scenes to life like hoops that double as playground swings and earrings that hang off the tips of talon-like nails.
