In an effort to cut down on frozen yogurt packaging, Stonyfield is now putting WikiPearl's self-containing yogurt concept into practice. The balls of frozen yogurt are wrapped in organic fruit skins, which lock in moisture and make sure that contaminants and oxygen are kept out. In addition to being ultra protective, the containers are also fully washable.
Since the idea is extremely novel and eco-friendly, it's fantastic to see that it's becoming implemented by Stonyfield for its 'Stonyfield Frozen Yogurt Pearls.' The new package-less frozen yogurt balls have been introduced to the Whole Foods market in Boston and are stored in cellulose bags made from wood fiber for retail display purposes, although the Frozen Yogurt Pearls could stand on their own.
