The Horse Meat Hot Dog

It make come as a shock to some, but the Netherlands offers a different kind of hot dog. It's called Frikandel and it's made of a combination of meats including horse. It's seems very disturbing at first thought but then again, maybe it's really not that horrific. Or shall I say not any more horrific than any other carnivorous habits of humankind. Lamb, anyone?

Implications - Frikandel is actually very popular in these parts of Europe and are served up at coffee shops and from street vendors. The hot dog's other meat ingredients include beef, pork and chicken. Frikandel is said to be made just like the hot dogs in North America; with the "most unsavory body parts imaginable."
