Freekeh, the slow-roasted Mediterranean supergrain, is a staple of the Mediterranean diet and the team behind Freekeh Harvest saw the opportunity to introduce North American snackers to a protein-packed pita chip for on-the-go snacking. Naturally, this ingredient has a nutty and complex flavor and to perfect this new snack, Leslie Touma and her team worked with Michelin-starred Chef Michael Fusano, executive chef at La Bise.
Freekeh Harvest stands out as the only company in the United States using the freekeh grain in the snack market and it also says it's "the healthiest pita chip on the market."
