In light of the GameStop, AMC, Nokia, and Blackberry stock controversy, Popeyes announced the launch of the new 'Free Tendies for All' promotion.
"Starting today for a limited time only, Popeyes will offer FREE 3pc chicken tenders, with a $5 min. purchase, to all through the Popeyes app or online by turning the stock listing for all of the affected stocks, such as $GME, $AMC, $BB, and $NOK into promo codes to redeem the offer," the brand wrote in a press release.
The promotion is a double-entendre and leverages the word "tendies" – a word used on the infamous Reddit platform to describe financial gain or money as well as the QSR's short form for chicken tenders.
To make its message about the Wallstreet phenomenon clear, Popeyes also states: "Tendies aren't for the elite few. They're for everyone."
