Lifestyle brand Bristol-Studio debuted its 2018 footwear collaboration with adidas' Crazy BYW and it is a shoe with distinct cultural and historic value. The founder and creative director of the Los Angeles-based brand is Luke Tadashi and he used his Japanese heritage, as well as his love for his grandmother, as a form heartfelt inspiration. Bristol-Studio shares that the footwear collaboration is essentially "a love letter to Tadashi's gandma," who was a dedicated caretaker.
The footwear collection is strongly influenced by post-World War II, "evoking a worn and lived-in feel" at no cost to athletic performance. The lookbook represents the sneaker styles, some of which are fully reversible, combined with clothing that highlights their versatility.
