Ancient Grain-Crafted Beers

Kiitos Brewing Announces the United States’ First 100% Fonio Beer

Kiitos Brewing is disrupting the craft beer category with North America's first 100% Fonio beer. Hailing from West Africa, where it is an important crop, Fonio is an extremely nutritious ancient grain that contains amino acids, zinc, iron, magnesium, and calcium.

Kiitos Brewing created its Fonio beer through a special proprietary technique called Mash Press. This is marketed as "a one-of-a-kind brewing system designed for precision and efficiency." What sets this beverage innovation apart on the market is that it is entirely gluten-free and brewed with little to no hops. The taste profile of the Fonio beer is refreshing, boasting a gentle bitterness and notes of passion fruit, lychee, and white peach. These notes are "all derived naturally from the grain itself, with no added flavors."
