These folding chairs could set a new precedent for the design of compact, portable chairs in the future.

The furniture item is called the 'Palfrey Chair' and was designed by the Dublin-based firm 'Tierney Haines Architects.' It features a sleek white shape and when not needed, it can be folded vertically from side to side, rather than horizontally as most compact chairs do. This could provide an alternative for chairs that tend to fold downwards and are difficult to store, or those that simply stack on top of one another.

These folding chairs would make for the perfect functional items for spaces that hold events, or event planning companies that would prefer more modern alternatives to standard portable chairs.
