As interest in foldable tech concepts rapidly increases, Apple will likely launch a foldable iPhone with an advanced display setup in 2023. The new smartphone would measure around eight inches and fold up into a compact square carrying shape when not in use. Sourcing from Samsung Display, the foldable iPhone will purportedly have a high-quality QHD+ OLED display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and make use of an integrated "silver nanowire touch solution"–similar to that of the HomePods.
Apple's production run of these foldable iPhones is estimated at a limited 15-20 million units, marking this exclusive iPhone concept as a foray into an untapped market. With only Samsung, Huawei, and Motorola in the foldable smartphone business, Apple is likely to carve out its own niche, offering consumers a fresh take on smartphone portability.
