Presented at Milan Design Week 2008, the Bouquet Chair was conceived by Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka. The chairs are manufactured by hand as can be seen from the picture. The beautiful combination of colors gives the Bouquet Chairs a unique flair and glamour that one would image belongs more inside an art gallery than in the comfort of a living room.
Implications - Urban consumers have a strong desire to reconnect to the natural environment. Consumers have a deep sense of isolation because of this fractured connection. Mending this connection might mean bringing elements nature into the city or creating products that feel like they are part of the natural world itself.
